Yes, free. Start a video, then lock your phone or switch apps: the sound keeps playing. Use the Lock Screen or Control Centre to pause and skip. On YouTube this is a paid feature; on Hectic Music it's included.

Start the video and swipe up to go home. It shrinks into a small window (Picture in Picture) that you can drag anywhere. Tap it to come back.

Yes. Videos carry on from where you left off, on this device straight away and on your other devices when you're signed in. A red bar under a thumbnail shows how much you've watched. Finished videos start from the beginning.

Under Up next on any video, switch Autoplay off. You can also change it in Settings, Playback.

Tap the AirPlay button in the player and pick your Apple TV or AirPlay TV. There's also a Hectic Music app on Apple TV.

Shorts are vertical videos up to 3 minutes. Open the Shorts tab and swipe up for the next one. Tap to pause, and use the buttons on the right to like, comment, save or share.

Use the chips at the top of Home (Mixes, Freestyles, Interviews, Documentaries, Amapiano, Afrobeats, Grime), or tap Search.

If a description lists timestamps starting at 0:00 (for example 0:00 Intro, 1:05 The verse), Hectic Music turns them into chapters. Tap one to jump straight there.

Yes, free, on iPhone and iPad. Tap Download under a video, then find it in You, Downloads. Downloads wait for Wi-Fi unless you switch on Settings, Playback, Download over mobile data. Videos played in YouTube's player can't be downloaded.

Yes. On a FaceTime call, open a video in the app and choose Watch together (SharePlay). Everyone on the call watches in sync.

Say "Play Shorts on Hectic Music" or "Play the newest freestyle on Hectic Music". Add the Latest drops widget to your Home Screen, and videos you watch show up in Spotlight search.

Under a video, credits show who produced, directed or featured. If the creator added lyrics, open the Lyrics tab next to Comments.

Tap You, then Sign in. Choose Continue with Apple (quickest, and you can hide your email) or sign up with email and a password of at least 8 characters with a letter and a number.

On the sign-in page tap Forgot password and enter your email. If a reset email doesn't arrive within a few minutes (check spam too), email support@hecticmusic.co.uk from the address on your account and the team will help you back in. If you signed up with Apple, just use Continue with Apple: no password needed.

Go to You, Settings, Account, Delete account. It permanently removes your account, comments and history. If you signed in with Apple, leave the password blank.

Go to Settings, Privacy. Clear watch history removes everything you've watched; Pause watch history stops new videos being added.

Subscribe to a channel: new uploads, premieres and lives from it show up in Notifications (the bell). For alerts on your Lock Screen too, turn on Settings, Notifications, Push notifications.

Hectic Music is dark by default. Change it in Settings, General, Appearance: Dark, Light or match your device.

Tap + in the middle of the tab bar, pick a video from your library (choose Video or Short), add a title and details, then tap Upload. Keep the app open until it finishes; if your connection drops it carries on from where it stopped.

New uploads are processed first, then wait for you to publish. Go to You, Studio. When the video says Ready to publish, swipe right on it or open it and tap Publish now. You'll get a notification when processing finishes.

Upload a vertical video up to 3 minutes. Hectic Music recognises it as a Short automatically from its shape and length.

Up to 500 MB per video at the moment. Longer, bigger uploads are planned for a creator plan.

Public: anyone can find it. Unlisted: only people with the link can watch, and it isn't in feeds or search. Private: only you.

Only if you own it or have permission. Uploading other people's work without permission breaks the Community Guidelines and can get the video taken down.

Yes. After picking a video in Create, use the editor to trim it, crop to 9:16 for Shorts, or change the speed before you upload.

In Studio open a video and fill in Credits (one per line, for example Producer: Name @handle) and Lyrics, then save.

On a video, tap the More button (three dots) and choose Report video. For a comment, press and hold it and choose Report comment. Reports are anonymous to the channel.

On their video, tap More, Block channel. Their videos and comments disappear for you everywhere. Unblock any time in Settings, Safety, Blocked channels.

Videos are moderated by people who know the scene, against the published Community Guidelines, not advertiser pressure. If something of yours is removed, you're told why and you can appeal.

Yes. Email support@hecticmusic.co.uk with the subject Appeal, from the email on your account. Include your username, a link to the video or what happened, any reference in our notice, and why you think we got it wrong. A person reviews every appeal. If it was removed after a copyright notice, send a counter notice instead (see the Copyright page).

The Community Guidelines cover videos, comments, live chat and profiles. No threats or violence for shock, no terrorist content, no targeted harassment or attacks on people for who they are, nothing promoting self-harm, zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, no sexual violence or non-consensual intimate images, no spam or scams, and nothing illegal in the UK. Read them in full in Settings, Safety, Community guidelines.

Hectic Music is a place for creative expression, and drill and grime are at its heart. What isn't allowed is real threats, incitement, targeting real people, or graphic violence shown for shock. Moderators judge the content in context.

We try to explain before we escalate. Depending on how serious it is we may hide or remove content, warn you, limit features, or suspend or close your account. The most serious content is removed immediately and may be reported to the police.

Yes. Email support@hecticmusic.co.uk with the subject Report, the link, and what's wrong.

In the iPhone or iPad app tap + and choose Live (or Go live on the Live page). Allow the camera and microphone, add a title and a category, and wait a moment while Hectic Music checks your connection. Tap Go live: after a 3-2-1 you're on air, and your badge turns red once viewers can see you. From a computer, sign in on hecticmusic.co.uk, open Studio, Live, Create stream, and paste the RTMP URL and stream key into OBS, Streamlabs or Larix.

Open Studio, then Live, choose the stream and regenerate the key. The old key stops working straight away.

Viewers who are signed in can chat during a live stream. Long-press or use the menu on any message to report it, and block anyone from their channel page.

Upload your video, then in Studio edit it and set a Premiere date and time. Fans see a countdown and can tap Remind me, and subscribers find it in their Notifications when it starts. On iPhone they can also follow the countdown on the Lock Screen.

Your live stays open for 3 minutes. The app reconnects by itself and viewers see Host reconnecting. Get back within 3 minutes and you carry on as the same live; after that it ends and you see your summary.

Your camera can't run in the background, so leaving the app pauses your live. Come back within 3 minutes and it carries on. A phone or FaceTime call pauses it the same way.

Hectic Music checks your connection before you go live and picks the best quality it can hold, up to 1080p on a strong connection. During the live it lowers quality if your signal weakens or your phone gets hot, and climbs back up when things improve. Low Data Mode keeps you at 360p.

Yes. AirPods, wired headsets, USB mics and Bluetooth mics all work. The live screen shows which mic is in use, and it switches if you plug something in mid-live.

Press and hold a message: as the host you can pin it, delete it, mute the person for 10 minutes or remove them from your chat. Viewers can report messages and block people.

Up to 4 hours. After that it ends automatically and you can start a new one.

Tap the red LIVE chip on Home or open Live. On iPhone swipe up for the next live; on iPad the chat sits beside the video. Tap the reactions to send hearts and fire. If you fall behind, tap Go to live. Live also works on Apple TV.

Starting soon means the host hasn't started sending video yet; stay on the page and it begins on its own. Host reconnecting means their signal dropped; if they're back within 3 minutes the live carries on. If it ended, you'll see that it's over.

Check your signal first, or try Wi-Fi. On mobile data Hectic Music plays up to 720p (Auto); in Settings, Playback you can pick Data saver or High. Low Data Mode keeps videos at 480p. If it still stops, close the video and open it again. Music videos marked as played in YouTube's player need YouTube to be reachable on your network.

The silent switch doesn't mute Hectic Music, so check the volume buttons, then Control Centre: you may be playing to AirPods, a Bluetooth speaker or an AirPlay device. Disconnect it or pick iPhone there.

Some music videos play in YouTube's own player inside the app. Make sure you're up to date in the App Store and your network isn't blocking YouTube. On Apple TV these videos aren't available, so they're hidden there.

Live now shows streams that are on air right now. If the host's connection dropped they disappear for a moment until they reconnect. Pull down to refresh. If you've blocked the channel, you won't see their lives.

Keep the app open on the Create screen while it uploads. If your connection drops it carries on from where it stopped when you're back online. Videos can be up to 500 MB. After uploading, the video is processed (longer videos take longer) and then waits for you to publish it in Studio.

Check your email and password (at least 8 characters with a letter and a number). After several wrong tries you'll need to wait a few minutes. If you signed up with Apple, use Continue with Apple. Still stuck? Email support@hecticmusic.co.uk from the address on your account.

For your security, sessions end after a long time without use, or when you sign out on another device. Sign in again and your history, playlists and subscriptions are all still there.

Make sure your phone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi, then tap AirPlay in the player and choose the TV. If your TV is an Apple TV, the Hectic Music app on it is often smoother.

Go to You, Downloads and swipe left on a video and tap Remove. Deleting the app removes all downloads.

Finished videos start from the beginning. Resume works per video; if you watched on another device, sign in on both so your place follows you.

Settings, Playback. Video quality on mobile data: Auto (up to 720p), Data saver (up to 480p, uses the least data) or High (no limit). Video quality on Wi-Fi: Auto, or Highest, which buffers further ahead to hold top quality.

When a video finishes, the next one in Up next starts by itself. Switch it off in Settings, Playback or under Up next on any video.

Settings, Time management. Pick 15 minutes to 2 hours and you'll get a gentle reminder after watching that long in one go. Choose Off to stop the reminders.

It shows your network, and can run a quick speed test of your download, upload and latency to Hectic Music. Handy before you go live.

Ask Hectic answers on your device with Apple Intelligence where it can. With Online answers on, questions it can't answer are sent to Hectic Music's server and may be processed by third-party AI providers. No account details are sent. Switch it off any time in Settings, Help and feedback.

Settings, Notifications, Push notifications. Hectic Music only asks your iPhone for permission when you turn it on. You can also change it in the iPhone Settings app under Notifications, Hectic Music.

Settings, Safety, Blocked channels. Tap Unblock to undo it.

Yes. Settings, Safety, Report history shows each report you've made and its outcome.

Use a clear title with the artist and track name (for example Artist - Track (Official Video)), pick the right category, and write a short description. Add credits so producers, directors and features are tagged.

In the description, list timestamps starting at 0:00, one per line (0:00 Intro, 1:05 Verse 1). Hectic Music turns them into chapters automatically.

Film vertically (9:16) and keep it to 3 minutes or less so it's picked up as a Short. Hook people in the first second. The in-app editor can trim and crop to 9:16.

Use Wi-Fi if you can and run the connection check. Plug your phone in, because live drains the battery. Prop the phone up, face a light, and use a mic close to the sound if it's music. Give your live a clear title so people know what they're tapping into. Keep the app open: leaving it pauses your live.

A premiere builds hype: fans get a countdown, can tap Remind me, and watch together when it drops. Set it up in Studio on a video that's finished processing.

An MP4 or MOV from your phone or editor is perfect, up to 500 MB. Hectic Music converts it to play smoothly on every device, up to 1080p. HDR video from iPhone is converted to standard colour so it looks right everywhere.

Only if you own it or have permission. Credit the producer in Credits. Videos that use other people's work without permission can be removed after a copyright notice.

A shelf of videos picked by the Hectic Music team from across the UK scene. Some are official uploads from channels like GRM Daily, Link Up TV, SBTV and Pressplay, played in YouTube's player and credited to the channel.

Upload it to your own channel as Public, with a clear title, a good thumbnail moment, and full credits. The team picks videos for Curated by Hectic by hand. There's no paid way to get featured.

Upload the video to your own channel (tap +), publish it as Public, then email support@hecticmusic.co.uk with the subject Submission and the link. Only send work you own or have permission to share.

Email support@hecticmusic.co.uk with the subject Copyright Notice, including your name, the work, the link to each copy, your contact details, and the statements listed on our Copyright page. We act quickly on valid notices.

Call 999 straight away. Then report the video, comment or live from the More menu so our team can act.

You must be at least 13 to use Hectic Music. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should know you use it. You must be 18 or over to receive creator payouts.

Install Hectic Music and sign in with the same account: your history, playlists, subscriptions and place in videos follow you. Downloads stay on the old device, so download them again.
